About The Role
APCOA Parking Services require Civil Enforcement Officers for their Stafford Borough Council contract
Full and Part time roles available ( Part-time 20 hours )
As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you make sure that drivers follow parking regulations in car parks around the Stafford area
What you’ll do
You will patrol local council car parks to make sure that regulations are being followed.
Record and issue Penalty Charge Notices.
Check parking meters and car park equipment and report damage or faults, checking that car parks are clean and tidy.
You will report defective signs and markings, identifying and reporting any abandoned vehicles.
Explain regulations to motorists and advise them about parking facilities.
You’ll check tickets and attend to minor machine faults.
Work alongside police community support officers to report incidents, crimes or anti-social behaviour.
Attend court or tribunal if a parking ticket is being disputed.
Use equipment such as: Hand-held computers, Two-way radios, mobile phones, cameras to record vehicles. that are breaking parking regulations. Body Worn CCTV cameras.

What you'll bring
You’ll need to be assertive and polite when dealing with people
A calm and professional approach to handle difficult situations
Experience of working in a customer service role is highly valued and an ideal transferrable skill for this role
You should be able to work as a team member or on your own and have the ability to make decisions
Full driving licence essential

Salary of £18,144 per annum
Full time employment – 42.5 hours per week on a shift basis The shift pattern is over 7 days a week including Saturdays and Bank Holidays
