The Role

As our Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. You will install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve the Company’s operating environment. Reporting into the Infrastructure Manager this role is suitable for a highly energetic, technically minded individual who applies high levels of attention to detail and wants to further develop existing strong skills in IT infrastructure.

What you'll do
Manage network VLANS, switch configurations and firewalls
Troubleshoot advanced network issues
Provision of high-level 3rd Line Infrastructure support
Proactively plan upgrades and system maintenance within IT roadmap
Take ownership for risk identification and escalation
Provide a timely, customer focussed, efficient IT support for APCOA operations
Managing escalated support calls
Drive process improvements and recommendation
Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner
Cascade IT service information and to maintain good communications throughout the team

What you’ll bring

At least 5+ years’ experience of working in IT infrastructure
Experience in Enterprise level storage solutions, servers, data centres, networking, firewalls, security, end user computing
Experience in VMWare, HP Procurve switches, HP Nimble Storage, IT Hardware, Microsoft, and ideally Citrix
High attention to detail and a hunger to improve systems and process
A reliable hard working and energetic individual, process orientated and KPI Driven
Able to manage cross-functional resources to deliver short to medium term objectives
Able to set the pace for action and negotiate results with management / senior management
Methodical approach to problem analysis & problem solving

Some travel to other Apcoa Services offices may be required.  Normal hours will be 5 working days (Monday to Friday) but will include one saturday and sunday per month.
