The Role

We are recruiting a IT Infrastructure Engineer to be responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. You will install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve the Institute’s operating environment. You will manage the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure, this includes monitoring the operating environments; responding to incidents, problems and planning for growth.
What you'll do:
Provide a timely, customer focused, efficient IT support for APCOA operations
Provision of high level 3rd Line Infrastructure support
Proactively plan upgrades and system maintenance within IT roadmap
Managing escalated support calls
Taking ownership for risk identification and escalation
Driving process improvements and recommendation
Troubleshoot advanced  network issues such as ADSL broadband issues
Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner
To ‘cascade’ IT service information as required and to maintain good communications throughout the team
Manage cross-functional resources to deliver short- to medium-term objectives
What you'll bring:
Microsoft Server and ITIL certification or equivalent
3-5 years’ experience of working in IT
Attention to detail and an eagerness to improve systems and process
Experience in a variety of IT infrastructure areas including networking, servers, security, desktop, printers and communications
Experience in VMWare, Citrix and Microsoft, IT Hardware, HP Procurve switches and HP 3Par Storage
