We are currently recruiting professional HGV / Truck Drivers for a specialised parking enforcement and vehicle removals operation working across Dublin on behalf of Dublin City Council.
This is not a long-distance or long-haul driving role. All work is carried out within the Dublin City area, meaning no overnight stays, no nationwide routes and no spending days away from home. The role combines HGV driving and specialist vehicle removals with supporting parking enforcement operations. We are looking for experienced, dependable drivers who want stable, well-paid work while maintaining a strong work-life balance.
The Role
As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and professional removal and transport of illegally parked, abandoned, obstructing or enforcement-related vehicles throughout Dublin using specialist recovery and transport equipment. You will work alongside enforcement teams and operational staff to carry out scheduled and responsive vehicle removals safely, efficiently and in accordance with established procedures.
Depending on operational requirements, the role may also involve supporting parking enforcement, clamping and fining activities within Dublin. The role involves working in busy urban environments and regular interaction with members of the public. Professionalism, good judgement and strong communication skills are therefore essential.
You will be expected to:
- Safely operate HGV and specialist recovery/transport vehicles.
- Remove and transport vehicles in accordance with operational procedures.
- Support parking enforcement, clamping and fining activities where required.
- Carry out duties in accordance with the Road Traffic Acts and relevant traffic byelaws.
- Work collaboratively with enforcement and operational teams.
- Maintain accurate records and follow operational procedures.
- Provide professional customer service when dealing with members of the public.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
- Represent the service professionally and consistently.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvements and remain open to feedback.
- Treat colleagues and members of the public with dignity, respect and professionalism.

Who We're Looking For
We are seeking reliable and professional HGV/Truck Drivers who take pride in their work and can represent the operation positively in public-facing environments. Experience in vehicle recovery, removals, transport, enforcement support or urban driving would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
Applicants should have:
- A full, clean CE driving licence and good driving record.
- Valid CPC certification.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good planning and organisational ability.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- A strong focus on customer service and quality.
- Flexibility to work a shift pattern.
- A professional, reliable and self-motivated approach to work.
Training & Support
Full training will be provided on operational procedures, specialist equipment and the requirements of the role. Paid CPC courses are also provided. You will receive ongoing support from an experienced operational team and will be expected to maintain a strong focus on safety, service quality and continuous improvement.
