Team Leader

Royal Berkshire Hospital | Full Time | £27,400 per annum

Lead a team that keeps one of the UK's busiest hospitals moving.

Every day, thousands of patients, visitors and NHS staff rely on APCOA's services at Royal Berkshire Hospital. As the Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in ensuring those services run safely, efficiently and with exceptional customer care.

This is more than a supervisory role. You'll inspire your team, support daily operations, solve challenges, and help deliver a first-class service that makes a real difference to the people who use the hospital every day.

What you'll be doing

As Team Leader, you'll support the Contract Manager in the successful day-to-day delivery of the contract by:

  • Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing operational team.
  • Planning staffing levels to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and customer-focused team culture.
  • Monitoring operational performance, reporting against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensuring incidents, accidents and operational issues are recorded accurately and managed promptly.
  • Resolving day-to-day operational challenges with confidence and professionalism.
  • Responding to customer enquiries and service issues, delivering excellent customer experiences.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and service delivery.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, coaching and ongoing development of team members.
  • Promoting safe working practices and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

 

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys leading people and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar people management role.
  • A proven ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Commercial awareness with the confidence to make informed decisions.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work independently when required.
