About The Role
Parking Enforcement Officers make sure that drivers follow parking regulations on public streets and in car parks
What you’ll do

You will patrol public streets and local council car parks to make sure that regulations are being followed

Record and issue Penalty Charge Notices

Check parking meters and car park equipment and report damage or faults, checking that car parks are clean and tidy

You will report defective signs and road markings, identifying and reporting any abandoned vehicles

Explain regulations to motorists and advise them about parking facilities

You’ll check tickets and attend to minor machine faults

Work alongside police community support officers to Report incidents, crimes or anti-social behaviour

Use equipment such as: Hand-held computers, Two-way radios, mobile phones, cameras to record vehicles that are breaking parking regulations. Body Worn CCTV cameras.

What you'll bring

Excellent customer service skills

Good spoken and written English and arithmetic skills

Strong communication skills

Experience or the desire to work outdoors

Resilience – as you could be walking quite long distances on patrol

Full clean UK Driving License- Preferred

What we’ll offer you

37 hours per week  5 of 7 days - shift pattern and will include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank

£16,258 per annum- (£8.45 per hour)
