About The Role
As a member of the Management Accounts and Business Partnering team the main responsibility of the team is to provide accurate and meaningful financial analysis and information to internal and external stakeholders. You will support operations in the delivery of their budgeted and forecasted financial results by providing analysis against budget, forecasts, prior year and suggest actions and processes to bring improvements and efficiencies to the business.

The finance department and the business is going through transformation and as such the post holder will be required to support the wider process and support the implementation of these changes.
What you’ll do
Month end processes including accruals, prepayments for contracts within the area of responsibility
Produce Profit and Loss accounts by contract/area monthly
Reconciling Balance Sheets ensuring that there are no erroneous balances and any discrepancies are investigated and highlighted to the line manager and corrective action taken in a timely manner
Forecasting (Monthly and quarterly)
Monthly financial performance reviews with operational staff and providing Business Partnering and giving commercial inputs
Allocating revenue share where applicable to clients/APCOA and ensuring that all calculation in the process are correct and adhere to the contract deal book ensuring a proper audit trail is maintained
Annual Budgeting and Monthly forecasting
Detailed revenue and cost trend analysis to aid budget and forecasts preparation
Engaging with the commercial teams on new bids and tenders and providing value added input and accurate financial data for the purpose
Determination and resolution of anomalies within the accounts
Ensuring Journals are correctly annotated and that an in depth and detailed audit trail is maintained
Engaging in the Year End process, including working with auditors and dealing with their queries

What you’ll bring
Part Qualified /Qualified/QBE Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/Finance degree) with 1 - 3 years’ experience of working as a management accountant or similar role
Consistent academic history with A-Cs at GCSEs and A-Levels
Good IT systems knowledge and skills, especially a track record of using IT systems in a financial transaction environment and pick up systems quickly
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to win the respect and trust of colleagues and customers
Highly organised with an excellent ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
A self-starter with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Performance driven individual with enthusiasm to succeed as part of a team
Highly conscientious and self-motivated with a flexible approach to demands of the role
Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
Ability to work and communicate financial information with non-financial operational staff
